FITCH, Columbus, OH Senior 3D Designer | Oct. 2012 – June 2015 Primary responsibilities included the physical design of retail environments and fixtures and design intent documentation for a broad range of clients. Consulted on strategic projects requiring a high level of design thinking and philosophy, focused on customer experience and design strategy. Led initiatives to better organize 3D model library and mentor co-workers in software. Produced prototypes for fixture concepts and other small-run products. The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH Adjunct Faculty | Aug. 2012 – Aug. 2013 Served as design studio professor for 2nd-year Architecture students. Led discussions on design philosophy and construction practicality. Provided weekly critiques. Lectured on digital fabrication techniques, CAD and CAM software. Continued to assist with maintaining equipment and researching new digital fabrication technologies such as 3d printing, laser scanning and CNC milling. Collaborated with sourcing, engineering and marketing to provide products that met their respective goals of cost effective, safe, relevant and elegant. Researched user groups, and presented design directions. Sketched, rendered, developed, prototyped and presented product ideas. Maintained prototyping equipment, 3d printers, etc. Target Corporation, Minneapolis, MN Design Intern | Jan. 2005 – Apr. 2005 Design Intern on children’s storage and teen furniture projects. Worked as part of the Kids Team to reinvent the Kids and Teen World at Target. Researched user groups and presented design directions. Sketched, developed and rendered product ideas. Other Experience The Bikeworks, Sylvania, OH Head Bike Mechanic | May 2007 – Aug. 2009 Responsible for assembly and repair of all bicycles, training for emergent technologies and tools, and mentoring junior co-workers. Required a high degree of mechanical problem solving and implementation within budget and customer-driven restraints. Provided custom fitting services and counseled customers through buying process with relevant advice. Red Cliff Ascent Wilderness Therapy, Enterprise, UT Counselor, Guide | May 2004 – May 2005 Counselor for at-risk teens and young adults as a backpacking guide within a wilderness setting.
