FINAL YEAR - CupCycle

FINAL Year Projects & Prototypes Project - This project needed to be a solution to a current problem and was designed theoretically from cradle to grave, including a fully working prototype.

For my project I stumbled across an article arguing the ambiguity behind the recycling of paper cups, so designed a bin specially for the disposal of this waste. The bin would work in collaboration with existing cup collection schemes, offering rewards as an incentive for recycling efforts. As well as a working prototype; initial concepts, detailed design, test rigs, specifications, CAD files and presentation boards, full sets of engineering drawings, manufacture plans and full Bill of Materials Costings had to be included in the project throughout the year.

This project was by far the most difficult during my time at University but I was pleased with the result and very proud of what I had achieved.
