EXPERIENCE Iron Creative, San Francisco, CA {Design Director} 1.08 - 9.12 • Branding, corporate communications and interactive design for clients such as Genentech, Levi’s, de Young Museum, Boys and Girls Club San Francisco, ecoAmerica, New Schools Venture Fund and Oakland Zoo. • Art directed and mentored junior and intermediate designers. • Shepherded projects from initial strategic learning with clients, through user experience, design and development with user centered perspective. • Managed the end to end client development process, from securing initial engagements with new clients to successfully growing long-term strategic relationships. • Scoped, scheduled and managed projects to ensure that strategic positioning was achieved within budgetary, strategic and schedule constraints approved by clients. • Collaborated with and managed web development team and partners on the execution of design, content management requirements and training for clients. AIGA San Francisco 6.10 - 6.12 {President} • Managed a 20-person volunteer board, sub-committees and the Executive Director in vision and execution of programming and resources for the Bay Area design community. • Served as the public face of the chapter, initiating and cultivating community, sponsorship and media relationships. • Responsible for the financial health and stability of the chapter: $250,000+ operating budget and 50+ sponsors. • Increased membership to over 1700 members, making the San Francisco chapter the 2nd largest of the then 65 chapters in the United States. With over 50 events a year and 300+ volunteers, it was also one of the most active. 8.09 – 6.10 {Vice President} • Served as a public face of the chapter, initiating and cultivating community, sponsorship and media relationships. • Supported the President with program and board management. Coordinated the Advisory Board. 1.06 – 8.09 {Social Impact Co-Chair} • Created AIGA San Francisco’s Social Impact Chair and co-founded cause/affect, the international design competition celebrating the work of designers and organizations who set out to positively impact society. • Responsible for promoting and supporting design for social good through networking and collaboration with like-minded individuals and organizations.
