I'm very attracted from GREAT IDEAS
and this is the first reason why i want to work whit people with GIANTS DREAMS,
second reason is that i could be helpful to make that dreams comes true.

Sustainability is my main focus, followed by strategic areas that involves user experience, as
service design, retails and interior and product of course..

What about me?

I'm basically a Product Designer, but it's a very slimming classification.
As you could see from the contents of these pages, I'm not a standard professional figure, and this is a conscious choise; i'm very curios and happy to explore this world, and also the others.

I prefere to have a base in Europe, are inclined to work in any part of the world.
about my preparation?

Ohh that's nice, my first preparation was an humanistic-classic based one, i've learned ancient Greek and Latin, grammar and literature, nether a class of painting, of technical drawing, mathematics less than nothing..

but it was fine! my mother is an Architect and a Professor of Art's History, I've learned it at home; self learning helps me with a lot of staff, as sew my own clothes, use the old Canon of my father, learn English and so on.. first big lesson "DO IT BY YOURSELF!"

Once finished Highschool i've started my bachelor in Industrial Design in Palermo,
where i learned the second big lesson: "ALWAYS FIND A WAY HOW, AND THE BEST ONE"
university was very careless and we didn't have a material / models laboratory, sò we generally started collaboration with local artisans or do it alone; on the other hand our design was very focused on sustainability.

In the 2008, i've been accepted to the Polytechnic of Milan, where i get graduated in Industrial Design with 100/110 points, maximum score for the Thesis
[but less 10 'cause mathematical score :) ]

here i learn other importants lessons, about the rules of market and how to develop successful products, team-working and basic technical instruments, graphic production and product development, respect timing and how to rescue a good project from a bad one.

To my MSc degree i’ve choose the Polytechnic of Turim, where i closed my course in EcoDesign, based on system design.
To apply the holistic vision inside the design practice, both service and/or product oriented;
system thinking is very useful in a large range of situation, and it actually plays an important role to define new strategy, mostly if focused on innovation and competitiveness.
I had the pleasure to work with the Prof. Aguinaldo Dos Santos during this months, at Universidade Federal do Paraná, involved in the Nucleo de Design e Sustentabilidade activities, where I explored and applied Service Methodologies, and start my MSc thesis about the Sustainable Design in a Developing Country: Brasil ( looking for old paradox and new possibility to investigate..)

MSc degree is planned in july 2013,
and then??

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
collaboration in the research programe with Polytechnic of Miilan, “100 VIRTUOUS CITIES”
and participation in ‘EXPO’ 2010 SHANGHAI, degree thesis project : Taenenbaum;
modular system to retrain residual area in the city, using the sensorial design.

Partecipation in the international workshop “WHATER=LIFE”, from H20 no profit organizzation, Milan, IT. The main focus was to develop a concept to reduce the use of water and sensitize consumers to the use of resource.
The results of this experience have been exposed during Fuori Salone 2010 during the Design Week in Milan, at the Civic Aquarium of Milan; modular home system to water recover and reuse.

"FoodBank!" is a recovering system for discarded food in large-scale distribution,
focused on multicultural cuisine and exchange,

"International Cooperation Course" a series of lectures
about the cooperation, touching different items, from the urbanization in a developing country,
to collaborative deign, the operations of non governamental organization, about bases to write a project and so on.

FASHION DESIGN
collaboration with LUAN PRODUCTION in Palermo, working as fashion designer, creating and changing hats and clothing, about seventy.
In the 2006 i've been in Milan to take a course as dress designer.
Participation in the exhibition “Christmas House”, producing four tables of 120x90 cm,totally handmade.

WORKING WITH SOCIAL
Part time work as consultant in a social structure, working for one year with troubled teens,child and immigrants, as organizer of events, mostly common initiatives to promote collaboration and interculture.
I guess i still learning from that experience, and it has good influenced also my designer career.
