I actually started this before it was a project. My boss DJ and I were drawing the concept up in I think 2012 but I was under strict orders to change the screen when ever Tim Reid (guy in the video) was around, we had v10, v12 and v16 concepts and landed on v12. Once it became a viable project, I was on rotating and reciprocating engine components. When I had my stroke most of the leg work was done and manufacturing issues were left.
Today was the unveiling.

As a member of the Base Engine group for 6 years now I have had the privilege to be a part of a team who creates world class engines second to none. We take pride in making our parts the lightest they can be for better performance and economy. Making them ass durable as they can be, because we know our kids, our family and friends will be on that boat and that engine better bring them home safe.
Tomorrow is the reveal of the most impact I had with any project at Mercury Marine.
