Led meetings between product line managers, the sales team, and the design team to initiate new projects for national cell-phone carriers, retailers, and distributors. Developed accessories for new Verizon Wireless handsets prior to launch under highly restrictive time lines. Conducted market driven research and developed concept sketches, physical models, and renderings. Worked with product managers, engineers, and overseas factory personnel to select and refine product designs and see them through to production. High-finish renderings in Photoshop and 3D CAD (SolidWorks). Created full specifications for overseas factories to produce hard and soft goods. Original product photography and presentations. One Up Advertising | Graphic Designer | Aug. 07- May 08 Worked with clients and management to created page layouts, logos, and designs for direct mail catalogs, magazines and print ads. Collaborated with clients on comprehensive brand identity conceptualization. Worked with management to outfit a new Chicago office. Operated as a one-man construction team to split-up the office space with hanging aluminum and glass room dividers, and framed, put up drywall, and executed the design of a separate office space. Created three concept directions for new lines of bathroom fixtures and accessories aimed at revitalizing the brand for newer styles of architecture and home decor. Conducted market research with a focus on a modern “deconstructivist” style. Rendered deliverables by hand and brought into Photoshop for final concepts presentation. University of Illinois | 3D Lab Supervisor | Sept. - Dec. 05, 06 Instructed younger students on the use of tools and processes, enforced lab rules. Advised students on model building issues within aesthetic and functional modeling. Aquatic Camp Director | Evanston Recreation Department | July 04 - Aug. 06, Summers Directed/managed a public camp of over 350 children per summer on the Evanston lakefront. Hired, trained and instructed camp staff in aquatic sport and lifesaving procedures. Created activity and teaching plans. Repaired, improved, and maintained motorboats, sailboats, and equipment. Chicago Hot Glass | Hot Shop Intern / Gaffer | Jan. - May 03 Provided support for master glass blowers, learned glassblowing techniques, aided in fabrication.
