A lot of my project inspiration comes from personal experiences. One day, as I was on the second floor of the home I share with my other half, I got tired of screaming downstairs from the office upstairs and the walking back and forth was beginning to get on my nerves. I ended up investing in a Radio Shack intercom but reluctantly placed it on my desk, because it was really hideous to look at (no offense RS). I then got the idea for taking this on, as most intercoms still give off an "office" paging system vibe that is not what most trendy, urban (or suburban) dwellers picture in their home. I wanted a device that would blend with one's decor and not stand out for the wrong reasons.
