Duality. A psychological santuary - Duality investigates the jekyll and Hyde personalities everyone has within themselves. Creating an underground santuary where people can release their hidden impulses and urges.
Section - Investigations into links with split personality, the subconscious, and the effects of the moon on both lead to lunar cycles being important throughout the design. Encouraging the connection between man and moon.
Plan View - The design is situated within an underground space, already split away from ground level, and looks to fuse these distant polarities through a number of elements.
Axonometric of space, showing kinetic elements - A number of dynamic elements are created throughout the space to stimulate emotional responses. To help those inside to understand the psycology behind split personality, instincts and primitive feelings.
Furniture Element - Interaction with the space below is encouraged through voids and a kinetic pavement that forces up through the ground in response to the lunar cycles.
Storyboard of kinetic elements - Heightened senses are key to understanding the most natural way of percieving surroundings. Acoustic and Visual senses are primarily heightened throughout the design.
