FirstLight Worskshop - I made the FirstLight photos during a National Geographic photojournalism workshop I attended in the Spring of 2007. Organized by the late KD Lawson, the workshop was an in-depth, week-long series of photo shoots, with the common theme of life in East TN. The seminar was led by Geographic photographer Jay Dickman and senior photo editor Kurt Munchler, and focused on visual story telling and photojournalistic shooting. It was an extraordinary week, and a truly spiritual experience.
