EK Success Brands is a creative consumer products company with over a dozen brands and licenses within the scrap-booking, paper crafting, jewelry and kids’ crafts industries. As a lead designer on a dozen products that have gone to market, I collaborated with 7 fellow industrial design teammates developing tools for Martha Stewart Crafts, Perler Beads, Inkadinkado, and EK Tools. An integral part of the design team, my contributions included design research, concept development, rapid-prototyping, facilitating meetings with our licenses and brand managers, and communicating directly with engineers and manufacturers in Asia. My time at EKSB has allowed me to grow as a designer, learning every aspect of the design cycle necessary to bring products successfully to market.
Worked closely with lead designers, engineers, and model-makers on a variety of projects. Responsibilities included participation in brainstorming sketch sessions, developing research boards for project development discussions, building foam sketch models, rendering final concepts for client presentations, and meeting deadlines under tight time frames.
