An Industrial Designer living and playing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Douglas started his life as a designer during his childhood with painting, sculpting, Lego’s and backyard science experiments. Later he fueled his creativity and efforts in music, a career that carried on till only a few years ago. Shortly thereafter he found an interested in Industrial Design, and started design school. After 2 internships at Lathrop Engineering and another internship with the Legrand Design Group in France, Douglas graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Industrial Design in 2009.

Douglas Schaller started freelancing and consulting for before he graduated. Soon after graduation he was asked to join one of his clients full time, Accel Biotech. At the time Accel Biotech was just a small team and Douglas helped it to grow and become a successful engineering and design firm specializing in Biotech and Medical products. After leaving Accel Biotech to start his own company, more recent projects and clients have been diverse and spread in many different fields. Douglas has designed products for such markets as: lighting and environment home control, industrial equipment, sever and rack mount systems, consumer, recreation and sports, and the cycling industry.

As of recent, Douglas has been embracing his entrepreneurial spirit and is working closely with a number of different start-ups to help them develop not only their products but business and branding structures. Other accolades include co-founding the Industrial Design Society of America(IDSA) Silicon Valley Chapter, and a successful armature bicycle racer.
