Basketball Diaries Cover - The Basketball Diaries is a compilation of the journals entries by Jim Carroll as he grow up in NY during the 1960s and his battle with drug addiction, primarily heroin. An old English composition book was used to create the background image. An image of a 1960s New York map was then placed over an original photograph of arms in the common heroin-user position. The map acts as an allusion to the veins in the arms of the drug user.
