Sonic Splash, Laundry Detergent Replacement - This project involved improving upon an existing and widely used Asian and European laundry washing system. This simple system consists of a porous plastic housing filled with specialized filtration pellets that filter most all dirt and debris out of wash water, cleaning clothing much like soap. This design offers a vibration feature which encourages more water to pass through per wash cycle. The washing ball can be used for a year, avoiding high cost, waste and pollution of laundry soap.

How the Laundry Ball Works - Metallic elements in the activated ceramic pellets inside the ball release electrons which then produce ionized oxygen (-OH). Ionized oxygen is a natural cleaner that breaks down dirt and organic compounds in the washwater and fabrics.
