Pittsburgh Museum of Steel, Pittsburgh, PA - This project was an entry into the 2006-2007 ACSA/AISC Museum of Steel Student Design Competition, with a focus on innovation in steel construction, reclamation of underdeveloped waterfront, the creation of a focal point for the city of Pittsburgh, and the history and impact of the steel industry. The design of this museum attempts to capture, preserve, and celebrate the role of the relics of the steel industry on site and the importance of the steel worker to the success of the industry.
