Peteybird // September 2012 // Logo, brand identity, iconographic illustration, tagline, and splash page design for a Denver-based gourmet ice cream sandwich maker. The design and illustration style show the fun nature of eating ice cream sandwiches, while still portraying the professionalism the client wanted to get across. Granby Ranch v2.0 and v3.0 // 2011-2012 // For v2.0, Granby Ranch needed a site redesign to breathe some life into their online presence, add visual pop to their homepage, and integrate lodging reservation tools from a third-party vendor. The site was designed and built on an existing MODx CMS infrastructure, and utilized existing MODx functionality in unique ways to give the client control over their content. Shortly after, Granby Ranch re-branded and needed a site redesign to conincide with their new identity. The new design needed to give the client flexible control over their content, enable them to cross-promote area amenities, integrate lodging reservation tools from a third-party vendor, and show current mountain statistics. Big Mountain Enduro // April 2012 // Logo, brand identity, merchandise design, and website for a 3-event Enduro mountain bike series in Colorado and Utah. The look and feel reflects the “big mountain” and “backcountry” nature of the events, is fully manageable by the client using the MODx CMS, and was created to highlight the event information in a straight-forward, easy-to-find way. Front Range Ski Bus // February 2012 // Logo, brand identity, and website for a regional provider of mountain transportation. The site was designed with a “contemporary retro” look and feel to portray the fun atmosphere of riding the ski bus and developed using the MODx Revolution CMS to give the client as many in-site cross-promotion opportunities as possible with flexible side rail content, a homepage slideshow, and a preview section on the homepage that shows visitors at a glance where the Ski Bus would be travelling next. Momentum Trail Concepts // September 2011 // The guys at Momentum Trail Concepts needed an identity and website that showed the world their unique approach to mountain bike trail-building. The website was built on the Joomla! CMS, and uses clean graphics and a simple grid layout to allow the work to showcase itself. Since Momentum uses Google apps for day-to-day operations, Picasa and YouTube gallery functionality was incorporated to make use of existing social networks and to allow Momentum to keep their site updated. Urban Roots // February 2008 // More than a garden store and landscape design company, Urban Roots is a gardening experience! Project was completed as a freelance contractor with The Fuel Team, my role was page layout and design. A full comp with greek copy, a reference comp with color and style declarations, and a blank “sandbox” file were delivered to The Fuel Team for production and implementation on their proprietary BizRoom CMS, which was developed specifically with the needs of small businesses in mind. RV Trader Online // April 2007 // RVTraderOnline.com is the industry leader in recreational vehicle classified advertising. Working as a contract freelancer with Xylem Interactive, I created page layouts, icon design, page graphics, UI design, a style guide, and page wireframes that were used by the parent company’s development team to implement the site. The Fix Bikes // February 2007 // The Fix Bikes in Boulder, CO contracted me to design a website with a look consistent with the aggressive style of mountain bikes they sell and the rugged terrain where they are located. The design was created using technical direction from Unite-U, the e-commerce provider. Unite-U implemented the design comps onto their platform, and The Fix Bikes maintains the content.
