For our Year 1 Final Project we were asked to look at improving a part of our everyday life. I was drawn towards energy control within the home. My final solution was a small unit that connects wirelessly with appliances throughout the house. The unit is designed to be placed near the door of the house, so with a few simple gestures the user can turn off a customisable list of appliances and/or lights on their way out of the house.
