Project Architect for Academic & Science Lab Projects (1996-2010):
FLAD ARCHITECTS, ATLANTA, GA. (2008-2010)
Work in CD phase of new $62 million dollar, 106,000 sq ft Public Health Laboratory on 22-existing antiquated building in Connecticut. I was responsible for space planning changes that resolved some program issues and was commended by the client. I led in the detailing of a high performing façade and envelope in the goal for an energy efficient building.
HOK, ATLANTA, GA. (2006-2008)
Led design and production efforts on two new science Georgian-style buildings for Auburn University’s department of mechanical engineering and visiting research scientists totaling 146,000 sq ft. and $54 million dollars. Spaces included government secure labs and class 100/1000 clean rooms. I received HOK certificate of appreciation for outstanding effort and represented the Atlanta office in setting Best Practice standards for all of HOK.
PERKINS + WILL, ATLANTA, GA. (2005-2006)
Project Architect for shell and core for $128 million dollar 160,000 sq ft national bio-containment laboratory in Fort Detrick, MD. I successfully collaborated with the interiors group in the design of a 4-story lobby and with a remote office on the detailing of the façade. Building met federal physical security requirements including blast resistance and control of biohazards.
HOLABIRD & ROOT, CHICAGO, IL. (1996-2005)
Project Architect responsible for the planning, coordination, accuracy and production effort on new and gutted facilities for Higher Education including STEM centers, libraries, and a residential dorm. Clients included Augsburg College, University of Evansville, City Colleges of Chicago Harold Washington College, LORAS College, Eastern Illinois University, University of Chicago International House, American Dental Association
