The Community Magazine is a Dubai-based publication which takes an active interest in all aspects of life in this small yet metropolitan Emirate. As a staff reported I worked on dozens of pieces on a range of subjects, including the rise of medical tourism in region, the re-location of Dubai’s downtown zoo, a tour of an animal wildlife sanctuary in Khawaneej, the UAE chapter of the World Wildlife Fund’s work with local schools on educating students on recycling and water purity, restaurant reviews, profiles of exciting and unique Dubai attractions, such as water parks, an F1-series racing track, comedy workshops, and art-centric community centers and theaters.
