Singer/Musician Mixed Media Series
Music has been a huge part of my life and was the source of inspiration for this musician/singer series. The past few years, I have been experimenting with Sharpies to create doodles without much more than an idea in my head and a paint brush to add acrylic paint for additional color. Missing my more realistic art and portraits, I decided to mix my love of ballpoint (which can create wonderful details), doodles, and acrylic paint on watercolor paper to produce a series of inspiring vocalists for Dayton's Sideshow 10. Even though you may not be familiar with each performer, I hope the pieces still encourage you to take a second look and maybe inspire you to expand your musical and artistic horizons.
