With my background consisting of mainly design, I have developed a very enthusiastic thirst for a challenge. I take every opportunity to learn and develop new skills and absorb knowledge from others. I have refined my skills throughout the years; these skills include not only tangible skills but also my attitude and ambitious drive towards success. I am confident in communicating with others, meaning I am a good team player and work very well in a group. I am always working to achieve my goals and any tasks that I am given, I will always complete to the best of my ability. I relocated from the United Kingdom and moved to Shanghai over 1 year ago to pursue my dream of building a successful design career.

Calon Cardio Technology (Live Project) – Working for Calon through Swansea Metropolitan University was a valuable experience. A group project that tested and helped me develop my group working skills, project and time management skills, presentational skills, problem solving skills and my creative thinking skills. It also tested my attention to detail and how I react to changes in the brief from the client.
Stroke Step (Live Project) – Working to develop a clients idea of a stroke step was a challenging project with lots of restrictions to work around. These constraints helped me develop my group working skills and research skills using different strategies such as empathy tools, to gain insights into the world of a stroke victim.
Final Year University Major Project (TWISTIE Domestic Recycling Bin) – For my major project in the final year of my university course I designed a food waste recycling bin that ties the bags for you. This project tested every skill that I have from thorough research techniques right through to detailed engineering drawings and production plans. The project involved a lot of presentations which show I have good communication skills and I can get my designs across clearly and effectively. This project was a solo project and because of the innovation of the design it has had interest from many different organisations.
FEPRO Solutions – I worked as a product design intern for a company called FEPRO Solutions in Shanghai, China. My role in the company involved using a very wide range of skills, from working closely with my employer developing new or existing products to independent projects for the new production line. My role involved extensive CAD work (Solidworks) to develop detailed drawings for the manufacturers as well as clear visuals for the clients. I was also involved in graphic work and photo editing to update existing catalogues which involves using a wide range of Adobe software. Through this internship I showed I am punctual and can complete tasks to a very good standard whilst still meeting deadlines. I was able to work good in a working environment and got on very well with my colleges and employer.
JungleFish – I recently joined the design team at JungleFish (a design consultancy based in Shanghai) as a freelance designer. During my time at JungleFish I worked as part of a design team to complete a project for a valuable client. The team required my creative flare and design skills to create a concept in a very short space of time. My Photoshop skills were essential in this project to develop high quality renders ready for presentation very quickly. Through this project I showed that I have good time management skills and can work well under pressure as well as working very well in a team.
Engineering Scheme Wales – Working close Coppice Alupack, our group was asked to develop and make a working prototype of a waste management system. We then had to present our product at The Celtic Manor Resort to numerous other companies. This again proved I work well in a team and tested me on my presentational skills. I received a BA Gold Crest award for management of waste materials and handling for my efforts in the competition.
Starpack Brief Sponsored by Coca-Cola – As part of an external project in my final year of university, I entered a competition posted on the Starpack website which was sponsored by Coca-Cola to design a new on-the-go energy drinks bottle. This project not only a wide range of my skills including CAD, visualisation and presentation but also it proves that I have knowledge when it comes to brand identity.
