Employed with a 4 month contract as an intern and junior level usability designer as a Seattle based design firm. My main duties include researching client projects, creating user profiles, preparing paper prototypes for usability testing and developing medium fidelity wireframes using Microsoft Visio, Word and Publisher.

Working through University of Washington’s Human Centered Design and Engineering evening program, my team was assigned the task of analyzing, testing and formulating recommendations for redesigning a web-based scheduling application. During the 4 month project, we did heuristic analysis of the application and conducted usability tests on independent participants. The final deliverable was an in-depth examination of the program with recommendations for changes and a 6-page bug log.

Employed as the Design Lead for a company specializing in the interior design of medical and retail spaces. I worked closely with clients through phone and internet meetings to create personalized designs. I created floor plans and cabinetry layouts using Rhino and AutoCAD to created high quality renderings from those drawings as well as accurate quotes and BOM’s. I created and verified all documentation before it is sent to contractors in the field and created all of the in-house graphics and promotional material.
