Punk Funk Poster Series - The Punk Funk poster series was a project for Typography I, and we were to promote an event with 2 posters and a postcard. I choose to promote an exhibit for the artist Dzine. Dzine is not only an artist but also a music producer, so for the first poster I wanted to combine the two elements together. I wanted it to visually look like a poster that would be promoting a band or a concert, but still have a small amount of Dzine's artwork showcased in it as well.

Punk Funk Poster Series - This was the second poster in the Punk Funk series. The second poster was to have a different concept that the first one. The concept for this poster was inspired by a few specific pieces of Dzine. I took pieces of his work and made it into a different composition. Therefore, the second promotional poster will give viewers a sneak peak of what the artist's work might look like at the exhibit.

Baskerville Type Specimen Book - This Baskerville Type Specimen book was inspired by the Christmas season. I wanted the book to have a mix of both modern and old-fashioned Christmas elements. The Baskerville typeface is elegant and suggests tradition and elegance, and I feel that the Christmas season reflects these elements as well. Therefore I felt the choice of Baskerville as the typeface for the specimen was relevant to the theme.

Orthodontic Office Facebook Page Announcements - Dr. Nikodem's office just started a facebook page, and needed a way to get the patients involved. Since his office is a orthodontic office and most of the patients are young kids and teenagers, I needed a fun way to make the link between braces and social networking. By using the facebook logo/icon for the actual braces, it signifies the idea of connecting—whether it is the connection of braces or connecting by way of social networking.
