-Traveled domestically for product testing, and to further identify needs and wants of consumers and athletes; created visual and written pitch backs to the team/company upon return
-Presented concepts for design reviews, worked with the factories to communicate design intent, and further revisions

-Interacted seasonally with the athletes to fulfill their requests and ensure products were meeting their standards
K-Swiss Shoes Inc: Los Angeles, CA 01/07-03/07
Design Co-Op, Sports Style and Classics
-Designed a golf shoe for the sports style category to be released in fall 2008. Included two uppers and a shared sole unit. Process required hand sketches, Photoshop renderings, tape up models and a tech package.
-Designed an upper for a cross training shoe that was to be used with an existing sole unit. Process included hand sketching, Photoshop renderings and a tech package. This was on an accelerated time schedule, with only three days for the entire design process.
-Worked closely with marketing, development and project managers to meet requirements and deadlines.
-Presented research, concepts and refinements at bi-weekly meetings.
New Balance Athletic Shoe, Inc: Boston, MA 01/06-03/06 & 06/06-09/06

-Participated in brainstorm meetings and sketch sessions.
-Developed a library of new patterns and a sketchbook of possible new concepts for sandals based on trend research.
-Responsible for color ways, changes in line art, special make ups, insole graphics and support work on tech packages.

Participated in a Pampers sponsored studio that concentrated on the survival/relief of parent and child after a disaster.
-Developed a system that kept the entire family connected.
-Awarded second place for this project and presented the concept at the Pampers Headquarters to the entire department.

One of the worlds top providers of feeding, play and care products for children age 0-3.
-Research based around human factors, parent insight and play observation labs.
-Developed innovative concepts for baby teethers and rattles through hand sketching, mock-ups and technical drawings.
-Worked directly with marketing, safety and engineers to ensure high quality products on a fast development schedule.
-Learned about safety standards, materials, molds and production techniques.
Hasbro: Providence, RI 01/05-03/05
Design Co-Op, Flex Team
-Responsible for a multitude of color ways, product renders, color specs and technical drawings.
-Designed assorted graphics for the brand Trollz as well as hand-sketched concepts for a new line of kid powered toys.
-Assisted with the development of Disney’s The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe figurines and plush dolls.
-Gained exposure to communicating with Asian manufacturers, various presentation methods, as well as how to prepare spec sheets for costing.
MTS Seating: Temperance, MI 06/04-09/04
A premiere provider of seating for the hotel, restaurant and convention industries.
-Responsible for all custom designed chair back projects as well as the creation of foam- core mock-ups, functional models, technical drawings and in-house brochures.
-Gained skills in upholstering and knowledge in manufacturing from the in-house manufacturing plant.
Snowboard Instructor: Cleveland, OH 1997-2003 and Lawrenceburg, IN 2004
Worked as an independent contractor for one of the largest and one of the smallest ski schools in the country. Level II AASI Certified. Created on the spot lessons to coincide with abilities, desires, current skills and progression.
-Assisted in new hire training classes and taught clinics to other instructors.
-Developed excellent skills in time management, communication and patience.
USASA Nationals: Mammoth Mountain, CA 2001-2002 & Sunday River, ME 2003
Competed and placed in multiple events, including 2nd in Giant Slalom, 4th in Slopestyle and 1st Combined Overall.
Gravity Games: (volunteer) Copper Mountain, CO 03.05 and Cleveland, OH 08.02 & 09.03 & 09.04
An extreme sports competition for professional athletes. Assisted in festival village to ensure safety on public skateboard courses and overall guest enjoyment. Invited back the following year to work in the athlete registration area. This required a high level of professionalism, as I was dealing with the athletes and working with private information. I collected all forms to ensure they were properly filled out and that all forms were returned. In addion to this, I handed out all gift bags and party flyers. Because of my level of professionalism in Cleveland, I was invited to work the same tent at the subsequent Winter Gravity Games in Colorado.
AST Dew Tour: (volunteer) Cleveland, OH 07.07
A multistop extreme sports contest for professional athletes, I worked in the athlete registration and lounge tents. Ensured that entry and medical forms were filled out properly, as well as collected entry fees, provided proper credentials, stocked product fridge's and delivered snacks to the various events. Due to my knowledge of the area, I was also the go-to for night life in the city.
