Craig Kerbow

Designer, Construction Administrator — Portland, OR

About

My career thus far has been in the creative and technical design fields, architecture specifically. I am a focused person who appreciates both the aesthetic and technical challenge. I believe many of the design processes and methodologies used in architecture are common to other design disciplines and therefore facilitate cross-discipline transition. I understand the need for and have been heavily influenced by common sense construction and practical fabrication. I am keenly aware of the influence that fabrication/manufacturing place on design and material selection and strongly believe that designs which spring from a need for manufacturing simplicity can also exhibit a unique and unified sophistication. I am fully capable of generating ideation studies, as well as read, understand and produce technical drawings. With over 25 years of experience in technical design and construction administration, I am seeking a position which heavily utilizes these as well as other analytical and problem solving skills.
