Work/Liesure Article Illustration - This was an assignment for an Illustration Elective I took. Our assignment was to illustrate a magazine article about people mixing their work with their leisure. I wanted to experiment with different Photoshop techniques, a different type of inking, and digital collage.
A Feminine Figure in a Bird's Mask - I was mostly practicing inkwork in my sketchbook. I then decided to add in some color to make it look a little more interesting. In this picture I wanted to try and contrast a clearly feminine form with designs visually referencing machinery.
Designer Dogs - This is a silly dog.
Mr. Hatchetfish - Anthropomorphic version of one of these guys- http://groonk.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/hatchetfish.jpg
Spider-Eyed Monster - My friend and I were having a light-hearted competition about how could draw the stranger monster. I drew this in pencil, in my sketchbook, and then put some various lighting and textures on it in Photoshop. I wanted to put spider eyes on it, because spider eyes have always struck me as rather creepy.
Banshrae - There's a monster in Dungeons and Dragons called a Banshrae. I made a Banshrae character for one of our campaigns and drew it.
HELLO - Inkwork colored in Photoshop.
