In readyness for Crossrail in 2017, I was working to a tight deadline to replace existing Escalators at Bond Street, in time for the London 2012 Olympics. By using laser scanning and cloud point survey data within BIM enviroment to create a 3D model of the existing escalator and the barrel that it sat in, my team was able to superimpose the new escalator design over the existing model. This helped to identify any potential clashes and solve any clearance issues, as the new escalators were larger than the old models.
100% virtual design and collobratrion with Kone. Worked with CATIA, solidworks, and AutoDesk Inventor to provide compliant data. managed and coordinated process between all stakeholders.
