Kitchen Tower in use: "helping" wash the dishes
Kitchen Tower in use: washing hands
Kitchen Tower in use: participating in food prep
Easy to climb up and down
Doubles as a convenient "snack station"
Peanut butter and jelly residue from a snack. When it comes time to apply a finish, I will need to choose one that can be wiped down and scrubbed.

With top rails gone, demonstrating the fold.
Starting to fold it up
Easily folds. Once handles are cut it will be lighter and easier to move.
When folded, the tower is about 3 inches wide.
And the best part: it stores perfectly next to our tall cabinet!

Kitchen Tower

The Problem: Our son wants to see what's going on during dinner prep. He will be fussy and get underfeet while my wife tries to safely manage him and the stove and oven. He's too heavy for her to carry while she works in the kitchen and it's getting more difficult to lift him up to the sink to wash hands. And we have a TINY kitchen.

The Solution: She asked for a learning tower. I designed one that could fold up for storage and that has a small footprint when unfolded and in use.

NOTE: This a working third prototype and should not be considered anything more than a functional study model. Aesthetically it is a long way off still :)
