DeWALT POWER TOOL - Cordless Two Position Screwdriver

DeWALT Cordless 2 Position Screwdriver - Picture 1) This project was aimed at making a professional version of the B&D two position screwdriver. The target market for it was cabinet installers and electricians where the tool needed to fit into a tight space or the power and bulk of a drill were not needed to remove/install switches or outlets. Picture 2) Early concept exploration sketches and final concept marker rendering. Picture 3) Detail exploration sketches for clutch collar and position lock release switch. Picture 4) Prototype models for design reviews and research. Left model has hand modeled lower housing. Final design as shown in picture 1 has DeWALT style vent detail added along with raised pad around reversing switch.

Extra attention was given to the pivot point to give it a beefy robust look and feel over the B&D version, allowing users to have more confidence in its performance.
