Some of my design work from Maytag Company and Thetford Corporation.

Maytag Business Card - 12/1989 - 11/1990 When I worked at Maytag Company, I worked within cross functional teams consisting of: Director Industrial Design, Senior Industrial Designers, Engineers and Prototype Machinists. During my tenure, I had 2 designs go into production.
Maytag Corporation: Laundry Control Panel Endcap Concept - Concept illustration looking at new design for an injection molded control panel / snap on decorative end cap. Cross-functional team: Myself and Senior Industrial Designer. This end cap would have been chrome plated and the control panel would have had stainless steel accent trim attached using double sided 3M foam tape. Traditional mixed media illustration.

Maytag Corporation: Dishwasher Control Panel Concept - Half model looking at an injection molded plastic control panel concept, which would retain the commercial look and feel of the then current high-end Maytag die cast zinc dishwasher control panel. The timer control knob would've been die cast, to create the commercial feel "touch point". Also, at that point in time all Maytag dishwashers incorporated a "side-swing" commercial style door latch, which reinforced the commercial feel to the appliance. Cross-functional team: Myself and Sr. I.D.. Balsa Wood cosmetic appearance model.
Maytag Corporation: Dishwasher Control Panel Design - This was the final appearance model for a high-end dishwasher control panel. At the time, I worked with a Senior Industrial Designer in developing the overall styling and control panel graphics. Note the side swing door latch. This was to retain a commercial feel to the appliance. This product went into production. Balsa Wood cosmetic appearance model.

Thetford Business Card - 9/1991 - 3/1993 When I worked at Thetford Corporation, I worked within cross functional teams consisting of: Manager Industrial Design, Engineers and Prototype Machinists. During my tenure, I had 2 designs go into production.
Thetford Corporation: Porta - Potti chemical bottle re-design. Objective: Redesign chemical bottle utilizing P.E.T. material, create better pouring characteristics and larger label area - to include additional language instructions.

Thetford Corporation: Porta-Potti MSD (Marine Sanitation Device) design. Objective: Design an MSD pumpout for the high-end Electric Porta-Potti toilet. This product enables the Porta-Potti to be used in a dock side pump out scenario.

Thetford Corporation: Thetford Sure-Lock Hose Accessory. One of the requirements of this product was that it must be able to stow into a 4 inch RV bumper - when not in use. This is a detail shot showing my final appearance model being stowed into a 4 inch bumper.
