During my tenure, I successfully took 13 designs into production.
Whirlpool Corporation: KitchenAid KD-01 Dishwasher Control Panel - Objective: Create a plastic injection molded (cost reduced) control panel for KitchenAid dishwashers. Prior to this model, all KitchenAid dishwasher c-panels were chrome plated die cast Zinc. Also, maintain a "commercial" style feel to the new c-panel. In the end, the handle remained as a die cast zinc powder coated part - in order to maintain the "commercial" feel. Cross functional team: Myself, Marketing, Internal Model Maker and Engineering. This product went into production .
Whirlpool Corporation: KitchenAid KD-01 Dishwasher Control Panel - Another shot showing c-panel profile shape being carried over onto buttons / handle profile. One of the other objectives of this project was to retain the current door latch mechanism - which maintained a commercial feel to the product. This product went into production.
Whirlpool Corporation: Whirlpool Trash Compactor Redesign - Objective: Create new trash compactor control panel incorporating newly developed Whirlpool "Waterfall" design theme. Also, incorporate Tap Touch Switch user interface with a polycarbonate decorative insert. Cross functional team: Myself, Marketing, Engineering and internal Model Maker. This product went into production.
Whirlpool Corporation: KD-24 Dishwasher Detergent Dispenser - Objective: Design a new detergent dispenser fascia for Whirlpool (plastic tub) and KitchenAid (stainless tub) tall tub dishwashers.
