    Industrial Designer 2

    Columbus, OH

My name is Stephen Hughett, I am an Industrial Designer living in the Columbus, Ohio area. I have a BFA in Industrial Design, and four years of first-hand consultancy experience designing and seeing products come to market. I am skilled in all phases of product development: research, strategy, design conceptualization, 3D CAD development, prototyping, manufacturing and launch support. In my current position at Design Central I have been given the opportunity lead design projects for P&G with front end innovation programs as my primary focus. In addition, I am highly skilled in SolidWorks with an expertise in preparing CAD models for engineering. After work, I focus my extra creative energy into a side project called BLK Sea Studio LLC., a collaborative design outlet started by myself and product design friend. A year ago we launched our first product Imbue on KickStarter which was successfully funded within its first 3 days. This project involved designing a product from the ground up, sourcing and working with manufacturers, and shipping over 1,600 Imbue tools to front doors across the globe. In my personal time, I enjoy the outdoors, rock climbing, and spending time with my wife and our two dogs.
