"A path through the forest" - Whenever I would see a scene like this my mind would wander..."where does this path lead to?".. another forest or a beautiful coastal village?...well we will see.

A path through the forest 2 - As we move along the forest we come across a river bank.....its a hot sunny day.....and the beauty of the river and the lining of trees across the riverbank sure brings calmness to our minds.

Landscape study 1 (after 3 layers of soft pastel) Soft pastel in Canson white pastel paper - I was not satisfied with the last soft pastel work and after spraying fixative some texture did appear. So I did 2 more layers over the previous work fixing in between each layer while I kept the final layer unfixed. Added clouds to it and made it a bit colorful. So here it is...

2nd Landscape in soft pastel - Mungyo soft pastels and Camel soft pastels on Canson pastel.

I have decided to try my hands on this second one. I had no idea how to go about it but I let my instincts play its part. I started blocking the white paper with background dark colours which ultimately served as an underpainting. Later I started out with the details.

Canson white pastel paper

Trying a difficult composition this time. Lots of foliage in the foreground...first finished off the composition with Mungyo semi hard pastels....blocking in the white paper with dark colours.....I gave the sky a white light pinkish feel to suggest a early morning scene

"Twilight" - Oil on canvas

Colours used: Pebeo artist XL hule fine, camel artists oil colours.

Pallete colours: Cobalt blue, cerulean blue, alizarin crimson, yellow ochre, cad. red light, cad yellow light, sap green, burnt umber, raw umber, raw sienna, flake white and titanium white.
