PS122 - The design of the lobby at PS122, formerly a public school, was influenced by an Ilana Goore chair. The chair, made from a historically found object, resembles a school chair. Parts of the chair were reassembled to create moments of repetition, rhythm and movement in the handrail and lighting design in the lobby. Inspired by the leg of a Jean Prouve school desk, repetition of a wedge shape is present in the ticket counter and cafe bar.

Elevator - The chair motif is carried through to the elevator design. The illusion of walking underneath and through giant stacked chairs is created, evoking the feeling of being immersed in the image.
Social Hall - Wedge shaped fractured planes drive the design of the social hall, theater, and terrace of PS122.
Theater - The stage, ceiling, and three sections of seating are broken up into wedge shaped fractured planes.
