This technicolor-inspired book includes a top quote from each decade starting in the 1930s using a typeface that coincides with the character’s personality. It should serve as a guide for discussing the need for designers to better select type that enhances their project. A second goal was to create a dual-purpose book. Non-designers will enjoy film facts on the back of each quote, and designers will enjoy the typeface exploration and descriptions on the back of each quote as well.

On this spread, Comic Sans was used to illustrate a point about selecting appropriate typefaces. Much of the controversy centers around the fact that Comic Sans has been misused by amateurs in serious documents such as tests, "do not enter" signs, and so on. This misuse of an informal, comic-inspired font has led to its demise among professional designers. Here, Comic Sans is appropriate because it implies a child speaker, largely due to its round terminals.
