The EOS project was a brief I set myself to touch up on my basic design skills. I first set myself a deadline of 24 hours and within that time I had to find and redesign a simple product. I choose a retro stacking coffee tea cup from the 60’s/70’s that I had purchased from a local second hand shop a few days previously.
I began sketching out some ideas and different ways to stack objects. I quickly had a good amount of sketches so I refined the good ones down and began developing the concept. Once I had it I felt that the project was a little thin so I began developing a coffee machine that would complement the cup design. After another fast sketching session I had my final concept done all I had to do was draw it up in Rhino3d and get a final presentation board.
Through the short project I touched up on my process speed, sketching ability and CAD. To keep myself improving i have found myself doing more one day projects similar to this one.
