simple iconic form generation for Weller soldering iron respecting brand identity
Weller Soldering Iron - Role: Lead Designer
This project was to update the successful and iconic Weller soldering iron. Competitor brands had a smaller desktop footprint and more functionality.
Care was taken in the design to maintain a simple iconic form and brand identity, while improving the functionality and appearance. I created the industrial design and the initial CAD surfaces.
This is a rendering of the final design that was delivered for production.
