House of Wisdom, 09 is an architectural design project that was made at the University of Damascus, Faculty of Architecture as a final Thesis and graduation project. It was designed as a creative multi-cultural production house for local and international artists & researchers to reside, perform, and engage with local residents, visitors, and users.
Starting this project I was highly excited, motivated, and inspired by the concept of Swedish Cultural Houses and wanted as an architectural entrepreneur to respond to vacant and missing facilities in the city post "Damas Arab Culture Capital" and establish one building that responds to needs of the city, by establishing its first cultural hub enabling cultural actors and producers to make and produce, individually and collectively...
