Process - I constructed my table by first cutting the Sumac timber and a plywood base. Next, I routed out each piece of Sumac that was to cover the edges and sides of the plywood. After gluing each piece in place, I then filled the empty spaces between the wood with resin. Finally, I sanded the surface and sides to create sharp edges. I left one end of my table uncut to create a more dramatic contrast throughout the piece.
