I am an experienced designer with a genuine love for design. With a background in Industrial Design, I see no boundaries between engineering, design and art, and have developed a love for typography alongside my technical skills.
I have ten years experience working for a large in-house design team for a major aerospace company. I am the Principal Designer on the team, with responsibilities to find new work both inside and outside of the company. I am involved in all parts of the process - from initial brief to execution. I have worked on the VH-71 presidential helicopter programme, AH Mk1 Apache helicopter and BOWMAN army radios.
I have a degree in Industrial Design Engineering which informs every project I am involved in. My interests and skills are deep and wide-ranging. I have real commercial experience of traditional graphic design disciplines (print, advertising, branding), together with new media (Flash interactive animations and presentations), and engineering (3D modelling, technical illustration, rapid prototyping).
Outside of my day job, I always have personal work on the go. This includes identity design for local groups, and bespoke photobooks for individual customers. I am about to publish my first novel.
