Range Rover L405: Headphone Branding Project

The Range Rover Branding Project was born out of a multi-step studio course assignment. The project consisted of researching a car brand, developing a consumer persona, and restyling a product to fit the persona’s lifestyle and the car brand’s identity.

After some in-depth research into Range Rover’s history and car models I chose the Range Rover L405, created the persona of Philippe Arryn, a yuppie product manager from the San Francisco Bay area, and chose to restyle headphones.

The research conducted on Range Rover’s brand identity helped inform every step of the headphone’s redesign. After endless sketches, foam prototypes and thinking through every detail of the headphones I arrived at a final form that conveys the Range Rover’s L405, simplicity, elegance, and subtle geometry.
