Custom wood ping pong table made from quarter sawn white oak and Paduak.

Custom Computer Desk - Design to coordinate with the client's home, this desk incorporates a hidden, ventilated CPU storage area and specific function drawers. The desk is made of hardwoods, painted a deep black with pewter drawer pulls.

Porch Bench - Created from a discarded church pew and reclaimed spalted maple, this bench filled the desire to have a comfy front porch perch.

Side table - Made as a set of three side tables, this solid hardwood table with birch top is finished in an automotive metallic gold. The maple dovetailed drawer glides on a solid maple slide. The Xs on each side cradle the beveled mirror glass shelves.

Fireplace mantel - Inspired by the existing room setting, this fireplace mantel is designed with classical proportions and made of hardwoods. The piece is finished with acrylic enamel.

Dining Set - Maple and walnut dining table with matching chairs. The table features curly maple, white maple and walnut trim. The chairs feature figured maple and walnut trim with ultrasuede upholstery.

Maple Dining Chairs - These solid maple chairs with walnut accents were designed to accentuate the dining table of similar styling. The parts for the 10 chairs were machined on a 3-axis CNC router after design work was completed in AlphaCAM software.

Rachel's Chair - Rachel's chair was inspired by a sketch from the maker's 8 yr old daughter based on a garden trellis. The chairs are CNC cut from Baltic Birch plywood. They are finished in white paint and upholstered in a green grass fabric. The chair bottoms have a brown fabric representing the earth and roots of the grass.

Cherry Book Shelf - A custom designed bookshelf, designed to match existing furniture in the client's home, this cherry piece stands 60" tall. The piece has a hand rubbed oil finish.

Bedside Chest - A custom piece designed to compliment existing twin beds in the client's home, this piece is made of hardwoods with a hand applied oil finish.

Ladder Chest - As part of a room remodel, this was chosen as one of the "Best Bedroom Remodels 2010" by This Old House. Designed to meet the needs of the room remodel, this multipurpose piece combines the function of a ladder and chest of drawers. The 2-sided ladder leads up to a loft, while the chest replaces the dresser that was previously located on the wall. The drawers are Baltic birch and the stairs are quarter-sawn oak. Maple planks are highlighted above the chest to match the ceiling of the room.

Cascade Chest - Designed as an example of CNC manufacturing, the chest is built of Baltic Birch, solid cherry with maple inlay. The 65" tall chest was developed from the classic napkin sketch by the client. The chest was chosen for exhibit in the Furniture Society's juried "Designed for Multiples" 2007 ICFF exhibit.

Maple Dining Table - The 84" trestle dining table is constructed of salvaged curly maple, clear maple and walnut accents. The trestle itself is made of two spans of curly maple. Machined into the spans are designs by my 8 year old son done specifically for the table. The table was chosen for exhibit in the Furniture Society's juried "Designed for Multiples" 2006 ICFF exhibit.

Philips Conference table - The large conference table was designed by Philips Design staff and engineered and crafted by Alan Harp and Rob Szurgot. The table measures 6' wide by 16' long and is made of mahogany solids and veneers. Removable panels are mounted on the pedestal to access AV equipment.

Butterfly Bed - Designed for a young girl, this trundle bed features solid maple, Baltic birch and beadboard construction. The butterflies and dragonflies were handpainted to match the room decor and colors.

Autumn Chair and Rocker - The Autumn Chair, developed as a Master's degree thesis project is designed for comfort for all ages. Specific features of the rocker and chair cater to entry and egress as well as general comfort while seated. The rocker version shown is made of solid maple while the seat version shown is made of solid mahogany with oak, cherry, and maple leaf inlays. The original version of the Autumn Chair was exhibited in the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum's 1998 exhibit "Unlimited by Design".

Diploma Racks - Developed for the Georgia Tech commencement ceremonies, the Diploma Racks are made of solid cherry with maple accents. The honeycomb side holds diplomas during the ceremonies and was made on a 3-axis CNC router. A total of 4 units were produced for GT.

Art Bed - The Art Bed was designed for a young artist, who due to her medical condition, painted while in the prone position. The solid oak antique styled bed provided a motorized easel that could be retracted if the main desk are was needed. Storage for supplies is located behind the false front drawer faces. The leg height can be adjusted by an attendant for proper transfer height.

AWPL Reception Desk - The AWPL Reception Desk was designed specifically for the lobby of the Georgia Tech research lab. The solid maple desk fits the angular space allowing ease of entry into the building. The desk is designed to meet all ADA guidelines for furniture.

AWPL Kitchen - The AWPL Kitchen was designed for the research lab at Georgia Tech to highlight the wood theme purpose of the facility. The solid maple kitchen is designed to meet all ADA guidelines and Universal Design principals.

Art Frame Table - The Art Frame Table was designed for a art frame restoration specialist. Designed to accommodate the weight of the larger frames and the client's back pain, the table can tilt and rotate for easy access to the frames. The poplar and maple table can hold large frames with adjustable points that mount to the inside of each frame.

Paralympic Kiosk - Developed for the 1996 Paralympic Games, The logo inspired kiosk allows users to gain information while at the games. The design accommodates users of all types, whether standing or seated. Over 100 of the kiosks were produced using reclaimed pine from a building undergoing renovations.

Supine Workstation - The workstation was developed for computer users who suffer from neck strain. The station allows the user to easily move from a upright to a supine position by simply shifting their weight in the direction desired. The Supine Workstation was exhibited in the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum's 1998 exhibit "Unlimited by Design".

Executive Workstation - This walnut and maple desk was designed for a executive in Washington, DC who required continual movement during the day. Due to the client's medical condition, it was necessary for him to alternate standing and sitting during the work day. The desk is electronically adjusted through a gear and chain drive system located inside the desk top. Lead screws are mounted in each leg to provide equalized movement.
