Student — WI
I am a student in my senior year at Pensacola Christian College for a Bachelor of Science degree in visual arts with a concentration in graphic design. Most designers would tell you that they grew up with a passion for design, but the truth is that my passion when I was growing up was for music. I didn't even know what graphic designers were until my Junior year in high school, which is when God used one art class to show me that He wanted me to go into the graphic design field.
When I first arrived at Pensacola Christian College my art skills consisted of being able to use crayons and a coloring book. I have learned so much about art and design since then. God has used PCC to teach me almost everything that I know about art, but He's also used the teachers, preachers, chapel services, and prayer groups to draw me closer to Him. It hasn't always been easy, but God has helped me through.
After I graduate in May I plan to move back to my hometown of Mauston, Wisconsin. I don't know yet what kind of work I'll be doing when I'm finished with school, but I know that I will be prepared for whatever God has for me because of the training I've received.
