The Beginning; 2005 - As you can clearly tell from the date of creation, this was what my skill level consisted of when I first came to the Art Institute. This was for a comic short I wanted to do but ended up as an assignment for class.

It Continues - This was about a year or so afterward. I remember the day I drew this; I had decided to take a break from everyone and everything. I woke up and 9 am on a saturday, shut off my phone, and sat at Boarders drawing for almost 7 hours. It was awesome.

Thirce - These are the original concepts for the characters in my Diaspora graphic novel. I had pushed my comfort level pretty hard and had gotten somewhere nice.

Alas, The Revelation - This was my very first, very true anatomically constrained illustration. I mean, it was a pretty exciting moment when I was done. This cat is for my thesis idea that I hope to bring to fruition once I go for my Masters. The guy's face is depicted after Maynard James Keenan of Tool.

Comfort Obtained - And here is Mr Briggs from my OJT graphic novel. I had finally reached a very comfortable skill level in my artistic capabilities, and pursued it heavily. Only to once again push it aside and try again.

It Nears... - Stumbling on some illustrations I found on line, I had gotten some serious inspiration to reassess the uses of semi realistic anatomy for my characters.

Retribution; 2009 - And here I am. After four years of blood, sweat, and tears; turmoil both self inflicted and outwardly influenced, I have achieved a level of skill that can finally get me some money lol! But hey, if history tells us anything, it's only a matter of time...
