In the New Business Division at Titan industries, I am working directly with the CEO. My profile includes management of Design and development activities of New Business Ideas for Titan Companies to invest in. The job involves, in depth research, analysis of the research data and arriving at appropriate solutions, in terms of products, services, experiences etc and development, prototyping and user testing of the suggested solutions. Formulating need based research, design and development processes is a major part of my current role. I have also been extensively working on the strategic product planning for upcoming business plans, including product centric category planning with a key focus on retailing and defining design language for the lifestyle product roadmaps. Key categories I have worked on in the past 1 year are - * Experiential Learning for Kids * Customizable ethnic wear for Women * Lifestyle ceramic ware - Tableware and Gifting

My first project in NBD was to pilot a new retail format which pertains to all round development of kids in the age group of 4 to 14. The estimated turnover of the business is 5000 Crore at break even. The vertical I was responsible for deals with meaningful fun and experiential learning for overall development of children. My role involved single-handedly managing the experience and retail vertical of the business. This format is a combination of "mission based experiences" based on curriculum that allow for hands on learning. In this role, I was successful in combining my prior design experience, with the necessary project management skills. I have been simultaneously corresponding with the Research and Design agencies, to create design and development excellence. As a personal initiative, I was successful in devising the retail strategy for this retail format. This exercise included, extensive market and product categorization research to arrive at an optimal product mix.

As a member of the Titan Design studio I was working on the design and development of watches for Titan and Sonata brands. Every day job involves creating a difference through cost effective designs, finishes and processes. Working closely with the marketing and manufacturing units and innovating in terms to process to serve a platter of differentiated designs in a cost sensitive market at the same time ensure seamless project management. As part of a larger team, my work profile has also involved working on the CMF trends and analysis, future direction definitions and product design of prescription eyewear for the Titan Eye+ brand in the past.
