Photoshop Painting: Peacock - The objective of this assignment was to create a life-like painting of an animal in photoshop. I found inspiration in many images of peacocks, created a sketch and value study, and then used a variety of brushes, textures and other painting tools to create the final piece.
Movie Poster Inspiration - This image was used as inspiration for the next work in this portfolio. The assignment was to replace the face of a movie star with my own face. I used a variety of photoshop tools (including selection tools, adjustment layers, clone stamps, erasers, and brushes) to retouch and repurpose the image. The result is the next piece in my portfolio.
Movie Poster Imitation - This is the outcome of the movie poster assignment. I used a variety of photoshop tools (listed in the last image) to successfully replace Julia Roberts' face with my own.
Travel Poster: Greece - This poster was created for an assignment which required me to create a travel poster in Adobe Illustrator. I used a source photograph from my trip to Greece last spring and recreated this image of the Temple of Hephaestus using a variety of vector tools in Illustrator.

Greeting Card: Reindeer Ornaments, Colors of the Season - The objective for this assignment was to create three greeting cards for specific occassions. This card is the first in the series. My process for this card began by attempting to create an ornament shape using the pen tool in Illustrator. The ornament morphed into a rotund reindeer, and the festive colors eventually lended themselves to the card, creating a quaint holiday message.

Greeting Card: Gift Tag, Gifts of the Season - This is the second card for the greeting card assignment. It was created using vector shapes, scanned in textures and sketches, and photographed images. These items were manipulated in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign. The overall effect is a classic card with a twist that invites all to receive the gifts of the holidays.

Greeting Card: Happy Howlidays - The idea for this card began with the play on words "Happy Howlidays." The word howl led me to the idea of a wolf howling at the moon. I wanted to use a textile and a clipping mask to create these images so I found a plaid fabric, scanned it, and recolored it for the wolf and moon. I then found a font that suited the mood of the card and combined everything in Indesign. The result is a rather hip holiday card suitable for any festivities between October and January.
