Preliminary Floor Plan Layout - Owner's vision was one of a salon and lounge merged together, a place where women could escape from their busy day and have some fun with the girls. Special consultation area designated to ensure top notch customer service and a bar-like arrangement to create a social setting. Open floor plan makes for a great space to hold runway functions and other special events. Centrally located reception allows for easy access from both entrances. Keep existing ATM.

Blow Dry Parlour Evolves to BLOWOUT! - Owner wanted to expand upon the "fun" element. Blow Dry Parlour felt a bit subdued for her so I wrote up a brand model for the new concept- BLOWOUT!, keeping the chic and feminine look of Blow Dry Parlour, but elaborating on the fun by adding pops of color and using the exclamation point as a mark.

Preliminary BLOWOUT! Website Layout - I teamed up with web designer, Jaryd Malbin to design the site for BLOWOUT! Native to Westport, he has a good understanding of the visual preferences of the demographic. Using the website as my canvas, I worked hard to fulfill the claims of my brand model. This was accomplished through developing feminine, fun names and descriptions for the offered hair-style services, categorizing the website content with unique, witty page titles, and frequent mention of the tag line throughout.

BLOWOUT! evolves into BlowInn - With thanks to a store name that could not be trademarked, a new seamless concept arose. I'm pleased to introduce you to Blow Inn. The brand model makeover was minor. Simply, more emphasis was put on the chic look over fun as well as the implementation of the travel theme.

Blow Inn - Graphic Designer, Karl Maruyama, took our idea of using the old-fashioned skeleton key as our brand mark and went with it. "A key as a B" with Courier New font was my only request and he took that to a whole new level in the logo design.

Services Menu Layout Page 1 (Designed for tall Bar Menu) - With a new brand came a new visual appearance. Dawning of a New Day and Courier New made a beautiful font marriage in my layouts, very much reminiscent of the script in the old guest book at the inn or a typewritten page. Hairstyles offered were renamed based upon famous travel destinations.

Blow Inn Style Menu Cover - Worked with menu company to design and order menu covers. 2 sizes- tall bar menus for service listings and smaller menus for style/hair model image pairings

Photo Shoot - Orchestrated photo shoot for website hairstyle images.

Communicated with photographer, hair stylists, makeup artist, and hair models to coordinate a detailed 2-day itinerary. Directed the whole process under the owner and saw for a successful shoot.
