Aris Sergakis is a recent graduate of The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago with a BA in Fashion Design. His work focuses on separates, outerwear, and accessories for a young contemporary women's market. Calling his aesthetic "punks with money" due to a style absorbed from enthusiastic and innovative street wear, but with the highest quality of fabric, finishes, and technical craftsmanship, offering intentions for a "harsh elegance." His designs tend to be highly conceptual, with great amounts of research and development, but ultimately balances function and a genuine modern wearbility. Strengths include working in hands-on environments (flat pattern making, draping, hand tailoring, embroidering/hand embellishment, etc) and with a strong, cooperative team that constantly channels creativity.
Currently, he work on small, but steady, freelance opportunities though fashion illustration and apparel pattern making throughout Chicago, IL, as well as his own intentions in fashion.
