Modern advertising (if you can still call it that) is about experiences. Both real world and virtual, social in nature and rewarding always. I've been lucky enough to have lived and worked in London, Singapore and Australia; I now call San Francisco home.
Travelling for client work has lead me to Taiwan, The Netherlands, Indonesia and Hong Kong. Where the differences of local customers requires different answers but some things reamin the same - great design, bold concepts and amazing user experiences are needed to win.
Ross is an established designer with over 16 years of international experience. He has a history of creating tactically engaging creative that is focused on great user experiences.
Agency experience includes Razorfish (USA), BBDO (Australia), Interbrand (UK), Scient (Singapore) and a unique client-side role developing consumer electronics interfaces for Philips Design.
Ross has hands on experience in managing art direction, copy writing, design, interaction design, motion design and user experience. He has been a contributing writer for various publications and taught courses using the Adobe Creative Suite both in Australia and Singapore.

Recruited to take the lead on the Nokia Connect account in the US. I presented to representatives from Asia, US and Europe at Nokia's Billboard Event. The concept was approved for implementation resulting in projects to develop advertising, point-of-sale and online together with a full tool kit of integrated marketing materials.

Recruited to lead the San Francisco office - 16 full time creative staff. I served on the leadership team tasked with managing client accounts in challenging circumstances. The office produced its first TV commercial for Seagate together with print and online for our client roster.

INTERACTION ART DIRECTOR
One of only 2 people from Asia Pacific selected to take part in the special project that Philips undertakes once every 10 years. As part of Next Simplicity, we were tasked with looking to the future of consumer electronics and designing what it should look like.
Projects were in Taiwan, The Netherlands and Singapore covering onscreen interfaces for TV, DVD players and RC (Remote Control) interfaces.

BLUEWAVE, Singapore, 2001 - 2004
Leading a small agency team but working on large client accounts including Levi's, Credit Suisse and Citibank. Delivering work that includes websites, cd-rom, flash guided-tours, managing media launches and brand development.
Credit Suisse felt confident when I joined to give us their business, previously they didn't see the creative leadership required to deliver on their needs.
Agency of record for Levi's Australia and New Zealand - renewed in 2002 and 2003.
Sequestered to the London office for client pitch and subsequent project kickoff.
Key project: The launch of the Credit Suisse Global Private Banking office in Singapore that involved media from Europe and Asia for the presentation by the global, regional and local leaders. We created the presentation and managed the presentation of the video presentation.
Clients: ABN Amro, Biotherm, Credit Suisse, Levi's, L'Oreal, Maybelline, SK-II, Starhub.

Ross is living proof that creative talent and likeability aren't mutually exclusive. Having worked with him at two agencies on various accounts, I have found he is one of those rare people who can stay cool when things are going 100mph...toward a cliff...in a hurricane.
