Work History

I am passionate about design, and draw inspiration from my outside activities to drive my ideas and concepts. Education: BFA in Industrial Design at University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign Logan Rogersville High School, Class of 2006 Professional Experience: New Balance Designer I- Training & Tennis/ March 2011-Present Living the dream designing shoes. The paycheck is a nice bonus. New Balance Design Intern/ Oct 2010-Present Working in Advanced Concepts Department Trainiac Freelance Illustrator/ July 2010 Submitted illustration proposal for character redesigns. Webb Scarlett DeVlam Design Intern/ 2009- June to August Assisted with structure concept generation as well as consumer research. University of Illinois 3d Labs Supervisor / 2008 - present Supervise the shops and enforce safe behavior during hours of operation. Activities: -Vice President of Student Chapter of IDSA at UIUC - Installation Committee Chairperson for 2010 Senior Design Showcase at Co-Prosperity Space in Chicago- Oversaw the construction of all fixtures and layout of the show. -Traveled to Italy and France with Foreign Language Club 2005 -Performed with Logan Rogersville Marching Band at Disney World in 2006 -Performed with band, TeamOne, at Mcfest 2008, at the Metro in Chicago IL. - Performed with TeamOne at the 2008 Vans Warped Tour Hobbies: Musically I get amped when I wail on the electric guitar. More than a sketch but not quite a masterpiece, that's a doodle and I love to doodle. My subjects are often robots, cool shapes, and cartoons. Working out, and running is my personal time to myself. Just let my ipod play and push myself a little further every time. I have done comedy at open mics. It is one of the most terrifying and gratifying things I have done.

1st place at 2009 E-Waste Design Competition Work featured in 2009 IDSA Object:Art Exhibition in St. Louis Recipient of 2010 Metaphase Award for excellence in the design of ergonomic products that also possess strong aesthetic appeal. 3rd place in MESH01 2020 Running Design Competition
