oxo drying mat - While at smart, I was involved in this project from initial sketches to final CAD. Inspired by the natural forms of flowing water, the mat emphasizes dynamic qualities in its structural aesthetics and material characteristics. The ribs are designed to hold various sized kitchenware, while allowing maximum aeration and drainage for a quick drying time. Made of non-stick and heat-resistant silicone, the mat is easy to clean and doubles as a trivet. It can also be rolled up for storage.
